Tracks of the Week

Because I don’t have much time to write about anything, I guess I should just supply you with music. They’re substitutes for what I’m thinking/feeling most of the time anyway.
I got a load of pretty music lately:

Sarah McLachlan – Loving You Easy
Don’t you think she sounds like Sarah Bareilles too? It kind of sounds like Love Song. It sounds cute. Too bad I’m not even close to feeling this way. I’m more of wishful thinking. Haha.
But hey, I could see this playing in a movie. Right? It sounds like one of those songs.

Erik Hassle – Hurtful

The first time I heard this, I was like – “Gavin de Graw?” “Kris Allen?” – but it’s Erik Hassle. I haven’t heard of him before, but this song pinched something inside of me. Like pinching the inner most corner of my heart with the slightest need of hearing these words:

“I was wrong from the start from the bottom of my heart I apologize
What I did to you was hurtful
And what I’m going through is hurtful.”

Add the cliche, “You don’t know what you got til you’re missing it a lot.”
Erik Hassle looks like a guy from the 80s though. Hmm.

I already featured Metric’s Eclipse, but I still loveitloveitloveit. I maybe more biased to it because I keep picturing the meadow and Edward and Bella. I knoooow. I promise to get over this by the end of the week.

John Mayer – Free Fallin’

Finally, rainy day music! I could totally listen to this while rain pours outside (I’m staying in of course). Or while in the car, watching the windshields and the rain falling . It would be perfect.

All the vampires walkin’ through the valley
Move west down ventura boulevard
And all the bad boys are standing in the shadows
All the good girls are home with broken hearts

Clearly, I haven’t gotten over Twilight – this is what happens when the whole Twilight Saga ends up in your living room and you’ve got the whole weekend. I got to browse mostly through Twilight, barely read New Moon (because Edward wasn’t around) and Breaking Dawn (because after sex it gets blah) – Eclipse I’m thinking of browsing through til the end.

And lastly, Neon Trees – Animal:

I can’t help it. I dance with this music.
Add this pa: “Oh oh, I want some mo-ore, oh oh what are you waiting fo-or? Take a bite of my heart tonight.”
As much as I dislike Bella – I feel Bella-ish with this song.Good God. Next week I won’t be Twilight obsessed anymore. Oh, I LSSed on Katy Perry too! California Girls’ a pretty fun song.Anyway, that’s it for now. I have to do some magazine stuff. I have a lot in mind but I’ll write about them soon. I got a new story int he works too. If you think about it, Stephanie Meyer kind of helped. Look at this though:

Someone’s expecting Erik Bana to show up in Mandaluyong. Haha. If I could have been that kind of a hopeless romantic, I would have done the same – my own Henry might come after all.
