Hi friends,
Last Saturday, National Book Store organized a launch and book signing for my latest book, You Are Here at Mega Mall. It was after Lang Leav’s signing too, so I was kinda nervous-excited, but I am happy to report that it all turned out great!
I actually went to the venue earlier to catch Lang and have my book signed, cause we gotta fangirl first. But I managed to see the (my?) tower of blue books in the venue:
And also my face in a tarp-thing, which was kinda weird in a way, but lol. Still a nice thing to have.
Anyway, when it’s time for the launch, the program started with a chat with host, Ariane Astorga, who asked some interesting questions about how You Are Here was birthed, what my favorite piece was from it (which I couldn’t properly answer because it’s like choosing a favorite from your children), what’s included in the National Book Store Special Edition, and what I’m up to next (a new book coming out in May! But we talk about that later.)
Then we opened the floor for a Q&A session with the audience, which is personally, one of my favorite parts of the panels/ events that I attend to cause I get to be more specific, and honestly, with the questions, I get to learn more about the person asking the question.
We wrapped it up with my message to everyone, which is just really me saying thank you for supporting me and my books, and hoping that You Are Here serves as a friend to its reader as it has done for me when I was writing it.
Then it was book signing time! Also fun because I love being able to chat with the readers. Posting photos of the ones we managed to catch here:
Some #romanceclass crew came and it was of course a loud and happy table:
Some more photos of everyone:
Over all, just a really fun night, and I am so happy that I get to meet some new faces and catch up again with the familiar ones. I always think of this event as a celebration of You Are Here, and I think this + the rest of my night made it so.
Thank you for being a part of this event. I hope to see you again soon.
The exclusive edition of You Are Here is available on National Book Store branches nationwide or you can shop online at www.nationalbookstore.com.
