Glad I stumbled upon Zella Day‘s music as I’m always up for cool ladies on the music scene – I think my last major girl crush was on Banks. Zella’s music is on a different realm as that of Banks though, she’s more indie pop and reminiscent of the likes of Lykke Li.
Raised in the mountains of Arizona, Zella grew up surrounded in a local community of artists, honing her songwriting skills before finally moving to Los Angeles. “East of Eden” is an easy track to get into. Have a listen:
