Bagging the pleasure of opening for Foster the People on their first concert in Manila was chillelectro band, Techy Romantics. Composed of Camille Besinga (vocals), Ryan Villena (guitar), and Dondi Virrey (rhythm and beats), the Pinoy Indie band definitely started the night right: getting everyone up on their feet, dancing and bopping their heads along to their infectious beats.
With their impressive live performance that night, it’s clearly a no-brainer for me to frantically search for the band’s other tunes the very next day. It was a comfort to know that Techy Romantics, who were formed in 2008, have two albums under their belt: their debut Touch, and their latest effort, Escape. You can listen to their latest single, also titled ‘Escape’, and dance along. I bet you wouldn’t be able to resist it.
