I saw the movie Ten Years last week, for the sole reason that I have a girl crush on Kate Mara. It also stars Channing Tatum, Chris Pratt, Justin Long, and Rosario Dawson, so what the hell, seems like it won’t hurt. It was an okay movie about high school reunions – less crazy than Romy and Michele‘s but it makes you think about how things will seem at your own ten-year high school reunion. My first love was Passion Pit’s cover of Smashing Pumpkins’ “Tonight Tonight” but as the days went on I had Oscar Isaac’s “Never Had” on loop. It works on the standard formula of guys with their guitars singing a song about a girl. It always works.
