It’s been a while since I last talked about Canadian band, Stars. Since seeing them perform live early last year to promote their album The North, they’ve been productive, releasing a brand new album, No One is Lost. Its first single, “From the Night” still has that mysterious-haunting vibe, thanks to lead Torq’s voice and enunciation – but it’s instantly brightened up by Amy’s saccharine tone (I lovelovelovelove Amy’s voice) on the first chorus (that’s actually my favorite part – and really, when these two harmonize, those area ll my favorite parts cause they’re perf together).
They dress this track up with beats that makes you think (and move) – disco! But the lyrics are all Stars-fashion. Love to hearing something that is fun and young from these guys!
